Whether you’re planning a romantic getaway for two, or a celebration with family and friends, Taumeasina Island Resorts Pacific Paradise Wedding Package is for you.
This package includes everything you need to celebrate your marriage and, create lasting memories of a romantic island getaway.
Start with your own personal Wedding Co-ordinator to handle all the arrangements. Begin your holiday with VIP transfers from the airport to the Taumeasina Island Resort and express check-in. Fresh flowers and complimentary Sparkling Wine will be awaiting your arrival in your Suite or Villa.

After you have settled in, your Wedding Co-ordinator will meet with you to show you around the resort, help you select from one of the many locations available to you and run through the wedding plans again.

Be married at a choice of locations including the Vasa Wedding Chapel or one of Taumeasina Island Resorts beaches. Choose from a traditional floral arch, or under a bamboo arbour with white or champagne canopy. Be escorted by our Samoan Chief, his serenades and local witnesses in custom dress. The Samoan Experience – POA

Immerse yourself in the fa’asamoa, the true Samoan culture, one of the most unique ways to celebrate your once-in-a-lifetime day. You will each be ‘adopted’ by two separate Samoan families, and treated as if you are one of their own relatives. The bride will be fully dressed in a traditional style. The groom will have his own lavalava sewn for him, accompanied by a shell ula (lei). The traditional Samoan wedding begins with the blowing of conch shells, and a procession by the groom and his family to the site of the wedding, singing Samoan songs. A dramatic entry by the bride and her family is accompanied by the singing of traditional songs. After brief speeches by the Tulafale, or talking chiefs representing each family, the Coconuts String Band plays softly in the background while the village Reverend performs the ceremony. After the ceremony, a Samoan-style reception follows, with the presentation of traditional gifts between the families for the bride and groom, a fiafia (performance of Samoan song and dance), dinner, a cake and a bottle of champagne.

This is an absolutely unique, once-in-a-lifetime experience, plunging you into the heart of the true Polynesian culture of Samoa. REQUIREMENTS FOR MARRIAGE REGISTRATION IN SAMOA

To marry in Samoa you will need to complete an application for a marriage licence. This must be filed with the Ministry of Justice in Apia along with copies of relevant documentation, no less than 14 days prior to your intended date of marriage. You can apply direct to the Justice Department or your Wedding Planner may assist with this.

The man must be at least 21 years of age and the woman to be at least 19 years of age, unless consent from one of the parents/legal guardians

Spouses must be of the opposite sex for a legally binding marriage

The couple must provide the following:
1. An Original or Certified copy of their:

a) Birth Certificates

b) A photocopy of your passports

c) Decree of absolute (if either one has been married before)

2 . Completed & Signed “Intent to marry” form
3. Minimum of 3 days residency in Samoa
4. Cost is approximately WST60 (approx. $NZD35.00)

Some foreign countries, not Samoa, may require an “Apostille” stamped on their marriage certificates, this can be arranged upon REQUEST.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is currently charging a fee of USD$30, and is at the couples cost (normally not included in packages)
